Hand built in Britain. Graceful and complex, the curvaceous Brunswick 40 takes its inspiration from a gentleman’s cushion case watch in the Fears archives, first made in 1924 . This sportier iteration of the Brunswick is the perfect all-round watch, taking you from beach to boardroom with ease. Case : 40 mm, stainless steel, brushed and polished, 20mm lug width Dial : Pink colour, with black printing and hand applied numerals Strap : 5-link, stainless steel bracelet with screw links and butterfly clasp / Pewter grey, barenia calf leather, handmade Movement : LJP G101, time-only, automatic, decorated rotor, 68hr power reserve Water Resistance : 150 metres (15 ATM) CASE The Brunswick 40’s elegant yet sporty 40 mm cushion-shaped case has no flat surfaces. The case’s glancing curves are machined from 316L stainless steel, to a level usually reserved for precious metals. The depth of the polish along with the hand grained finish applied to the top of the case’s corners showcase the sophistication of the machinery and the skill of the operator. Complementing the case is our bespoke ‘onion’-shaped winding screw down crown, signed with the Fears Cypher. Screwed into the case, the crown’s fine grooves catch the light, adding a touch of radiance to the edge of the case. Built with uprated proportions, the Brunswick 40 is 150m water resistant, allowing it to be swum in when the crown is screwed all the way in. CASEBACK The Brunswick 40 comes with the option of either: Open exhibition caseback - offering an unobstructed view of the finely decorated movement (and custom Fears Blue rotor adorned with the Bristol flower). Closed caseback - offering the perfect canvas for personalisation with a custom engraving (please discover engraving options here ). DIAL The Brunswick 40 Flamingo Pink features a Flamingo Pink dial in what could almost be described as the perfect shade of pink. Expertly made in Germany, the surface of the dial is on two levels both coated in layers of special matt lacquer. The unique shade of pink is created with drops of grey that give it a cool tone that changes in vibrancy depending on the light. The ‘Edwin’ numerals are milled from a block of brass before being diamond polished and then coated in black gold, giving them a bright, silver/white appearance. These numerals are realised in our custom ‘Edwin’ typeface, specially designed for Fears by our horological typographer and inspired by the many different typefaces the company has used throughout its history. HANDS The Brunswick 40 Flamingo Pink's distinctive ‘ Fears ’-shaped hands are milled from solid brass with a bevel cut down the centre using a diamond tool. This results in a highly polished surface that catches the light, giving excellent legibility in low-light conditions. These hands are finished in a coating of black gold that perfectly matches the polished 3D numerals. MOVEMENT The Brunswick 40 is powered by a customised Swiss-made, automatic La Joux-Perret G101 movement (that has had the date function removed). Winding itself when worn on the wrist this movement boasts a generous power reserve of 68 hours and a decorated winding rotor. BRACELET The Brunswick 40 is fitted to a bespoke stainless steel 5-link bracelet with expertly brushed and polished links. Featuring solid screw links, the bracelet has a substantial feel while the silky-smooth movement of the links ensure a comfortable fit around the wrist. The bracelet can be micro-adjusted with both the 8 mm and 6 mm links provided, ensuring a perfect fit. The bracelet is secured to the wrist using a trigger-release butterfly style clasp with the Bristol flower enamelled discreetly inside the blades. The Brunswick 40 features a 20 mm lu
