Elegance and sophistication, at all times Please note: the Brunswick 40 Copper Salmon has now been discontinued and has entered the Fears Archive - very limited remaining pieces available (if you would like any further information please contact us ) Graceful and complex, the curvaceous Brunswick 40 takes its inspiration from a gentleman’s cushion case watch in the Fears archives, first made in 1924 . This sportier iteration of the Brunswick is the perfect all-round watch, taking you from beach to boardroom with ease. Case : 40mm, stainless steel, brushed and polished, 20mm lug width Dial : Salmon colour, with black printing and hand applied numerals Strap : 5-link, stainless steel bracelet with screw links and butterfly clasp / black, buffalo leather, handmade Movement : LJP G100, time and date, automatic, 68hr power reserve Water Resistance : 150 metres (15 ATM) CASE The Brunswick 40’s elegant yet sporty 40 mm cushion-shaped case has no flat surfaces. The case’s glancing curves are machined from 316L stainless steel, to a level usually reserved for precious metals. The depth of the polish along with the hand grained finish applied to the top of the case’s corners showcase the sophistication of the machinery and the skill of the operator. Complementing the case is our bespoke ‘onion’-shaped winding screw down crown, signed with the Fears Cypher. Screwed into the case, the crown’s fine grooves catch the light, adding a touch of radiance to the edge of the case. Built with uprated proportions, the Brunswick 40 is 150m water resistant, allowing it to be swum in when the crown is screwed all the way in. CASEBACK The Brunswick 40 comes with the option of either: Open exhibition caseback - offering an unobstructed view of the finely decorated movement (and custom Fears Blue rotor adorned with the Bristol flower). Closed caseback - offering the perfect canvas for personalisation with a custom engraving (please discover engraving options here ). DIAL The Brunswick 40 Copper Salmon features an fresh take on the beloved 'Salmon' dial with the vertical brushing of the original complimented by a fine sandblasted lower section. Expertly made in Germany, the surface of the dial is on two levels, each with its own distinct finish: Central lower section – Finished with a fine sandblast that gently sparkles when the light catches it, with a sand-like appearance. Outer raised section – Hand-brushed in a vertical direction. This subtle brushing is unique to each watch and catches the light beautifully, providing a perfect base for the sparkling numerals. The hand-applied numerals are milled from a block of brass before being diamond polished and then coated in black gold, giving them a bright, black/brown/silver appearance. These numerals are realised in our custom ‘Edwin’ typeface, specially designed for Fears by our horological typographer and inspired by the many different typefaces the company has used throughout its history. HANDS The Brunswick 40 Copper Salmon's distinctive ‘ Fears ’-shaped hands are milled from solid brass with a bevel cut down the centre using a diamond tool. This results in a highly polished surface that catches the light, giving excellent legibility in low-light conditions. These hands are finished in a coating of black gold that perfectly matches the polished 3D numerals. MOVEMENT The Brunswick 40 is powered by a customised Swiss-made, automatic La Joux-Perret G101 movement (that has had the date function removed). Winding itself when worn on the wrist this movement boasts a generous power reserve of 68 hours and a decorated winding rotor. BRACELET The Brunswick 40 is fitted to a bespoke stainless steel 5-link bracelet with expertly brushed and polished links. Featuring solid screw links, the bracelet has a substantial feel while the silky-smooth movement of the links ensure a comfortable fit around the wrist. The bracelet can be micro-adjusted with both the 8 mm and 6 mm links provided, ensuring a perfect fit. The b
