The 180th Anniversary Edition Created exclusively for the Alliance of British Watch & Clockmakers British Watchmakers' Day and only available to purchase from the event on the day (7th March, 2026). The Fears Brunswick 40 '1846 Edition' takes a similar form to the stainless steel Brunswick 40, however this edition is slightly slimmer and paired with a brand new movement. M eticulously crafted from precious, hallmarked, Sterling Silver (925). Just 25 pieces of these precious watches have been made, each numbered and featuring a dial inspired and influenced by the first pocket watch Edwin Fear made in 1846. This special piece completes the trifecta of Fears Sterling Silver models after the 'Edwardian Edition' (2025) and '1924 Edition' (2024) made for previous British Watchmakers' Days . Case : 40mm, Sterling Silver (925), polished, 20mm lug width Dial : White, dual-section lacquered finish with black printing Strap : Fears Blue, pigs leather, handmade Movement : LJP G121M, time only, manual winding Water Resistance : 100 metres (10 ATM) Limited Edition : 25 pieces only Price : £4,350 (inc. VAT) The '1846 Edition' will be exclusively available to purchase at the event, but if you wish to be added to the waitlist for an remaining pieces (or have early access to similar releases) please contact us . CASE Graceful and complex, the curvaceous Brunswick silhouette takes its inspiration from a gentleman’s cushion case watch in the Fears archives, first made in 1924 . The '1846 Edition's elegant 40mm cushion-shaped case has no flat surfaces, with even the solid case back having a gentle sweep. This special edition is made from solid Sterling Silver and crafted entirely from this understated metal, the case’s glancing curves are machined from 925 Sterling Silver with a deep polish all over, highlighting the beauty and radiance of the metal. The case and the solid caseback each bear hallmarks from the London Assay Office, and, following a Fears tradition, our company's registered makers mark comprise the initials of the Managing Director when the watch was built (in this case: ‘NBS’ for our (4th) Managing Director, Nicholas Bowman-Scargill). The bespoke silver ‘onion’-shaped winding crown has fine grooves that catch the light, adding a touch of radiance to the edge of the case. This crown is set with a diamond (which on a Fears watch signifies a case made entirely from a precious metal). DIAL Multiple layers of hand-polished pure white lacquer make up this dial inspired by Edwin Fear's original 1846 pocket watch. It's dual-section enamel-style construction offers depth and clarity which is then accentuated by a large recessed sub-seconds. The Fears makers mark, alongside this set of Roman numerals, are a recreation of how they appeared on dials in the late-1840s when Fears was first established. HANDS The Fears Brunswick 40 '1846 Edition' spade-shaped hands are a homage to those found in the Fears Archive from Edwin Fear's original pocket watch in 1846 and onwards. Each set of hands have been thermally-blued by a flame in the same way Fears hands would have been made over a century ago. This traditional method of thermally hardening the steel results in a finish that will flit from almost black to electric blue as they catch the light. MOVEMENT The Brunswick 40 '1846 Edition' is powered by a new calibre from La Joux-Perret - the Swiss-made, manual winding, LJP G121M movement. This movement is the top-grade version, with an impressive 60-hour power reserve. The architecture positions the seconds mechanism further from the centre of the dial which allows in this execution for an enlarged sub-seconds (echoing that of the pocket watches it's inspired by). STRAP The Brunswick 40 '1846 Edition' is fitted with a handmade Fears Blue strap crafted from pigs leather with tonal stitching and fold-over edges that reflects Fears' heritage whilst retaining a premium feel. This soft and supple leather has a buttery feel with a dimpled surface and was wi
