Oracle Time x Isotope Mercury Vitreous Orange and Green Watch news platform Oracle Time and British watchmaker Isotope proudly announce the launch of the Oracle Time x Isotope Mercury Vitreous Green and Orange – two highly limited timepieces showcasing the striking beauty and complexity of vitreous enamel dials in radically different tones. Over the past two years, Isotope has demonstrated a commitment to bringing Métiers d’Art to a more accessible price point , with techniques as varied as marquetry and cloisonné enamel . This latest collaboration takes that vision a step further with vitreous enamel dials given a colourful twist, offering exceptional craftsmanship without compromise on aesthetics or integrity. The Dials Enamel has a storied history spanning millennia: first developed in ancient Egypt , refined in China with exquisite cloisonné techniques , and perfected in Europe . By the late 17th century , Geneva watchmakers were applying enamel to dials , combining centuries of decorative artistry with Swiss precision . The Mercury Vitreous series continues this legacy , showcasing Grand Feu enamel dials that highlight both traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design . While vitreous enamel is not new to British watchmaking , the Mercury Vitreous series introduces a textured silver leaf base beneath translucent enamel layers . Each dial is painstakingly built up , layer by layer, fired at extremely high temperatures to achieve unmatched depth and vibrancy . The process is demanding and highly risky – even the slightest imperfection renders a dial unusable – but the results are undeniably breathtaking . These Grand Feu Enamel dials are housed in the compact 38mm Mercury case, tailored to complement each dial tone in two distinct executions: Vitreous Orange – a molten, volcanic hue framed by a matte black DLC-coated steel case with a matching black FKM rubber strap. Vitreous Green – a bright spearmint tone paired with a fully bead-blasted stainless-steel case and soft grey FKM strap. Both versions feature a clean, minimalist dial free from numerals or distractions, allowing the enamel to speak for itself. Each watch is fitted with a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, an exhibition caseback, and the custom-engraved I-7 calibre – Isotope’s regulated interpretation of the hand-wound ETA Peseux 7001 . Both versions are strictly limited to 25 numbered pieces , making them true collector’s items, and are available for shipping the following day.
