Introducing: the Isotope Chronograph Compax Moonshot Stealth Isotope proudly unveils its first chronograph: the Chronograph Compax Moonshot Stealth : a bold, retro-futuristic timepiece inspired by science fiction and built with cutting-edge technology. This watch features a world-first and exclusive sub-dial design , refining the classic tricompax layout for improved readability and functionality. Housed under a double-domed sapphire crystal, it breaks away from conventional chronograph norms with a design that’s as daring as it is functional. CNC-machined from a single block of Grade 5 Titanium and hand-finished to a dark, stealthy sheen, the Moonshot pays tribute to the space-age chronographs of the 1970s, reimagined through a contemporary lens. Its design draws heavily from ‘The Incal’, the iconic 1980s graphic novel by Jodorowsky and Moebius—a deep influence on Isotope founder José Mendes Miranda, who sought to capture the novel’s complex themes and pioneering visuals. (Note: the authors and their estates are not affiliated with this watch.) Inside, you'll find a choice of Swiss automatic movements : either the ETA Valjoux 7753 or the Landeron 73. The 41mm case (49.5mm lug-to-lug) has a distinctive silhouette that sets a new direction for future Isotope designs. After four years of development, this is Isotope’s most ambitious watch yet. The rotating sub-dial discs required careful weight calibration for accuracy, a technical challenge that led to an exclusive and bespoke solution. Each Moonshot Stealth is individually numbered, supplied with both a Grade 5 Titanium bracelet and a cut-to-size black FKM strap with a butterfly deployant clasp. The Materialisation of a Fictional Universe "I’ve always been drawn to dystopian fiction and imagined worlds," says José Mendes Miranda. "With the Moonshot , we wanted to step away from the sea of vintage-inspired chronographs and create something that doesn’t exist yet, a watch that feels like it belongs to a different reality. This is our most complex piece to date , and a true labour of love."
