View on Horloscaphe’s site ↗Diatomée is a large sailboat that travels from the poles to the tropics, with the aim of raising awareness of the marine environment through the intersecting views of scientists, children, athletes and artists who will come along on its expeditions. The idea is to invite personalities with a particular attachment to water, to create a collective to develop projects rich in challenges, learning and artistic creations. They pool their knowledge in the fields they love (sailing, freediving, animals, image production), to mount expeditions, reports, their way of seeing the world, in the quietest and craziest corners of the planet. They also collaborate with schools, which follow their adventures and discover with us the riches of the oceans to better protect them. Part of the proceeds will be donated to the association. www.laroutesalee.com The Diatomée project: The project was born during a presentation of my watches to Alex VOYER, captain of the sailboat Diatomée, three years ago. As we lived just a few kilometers from each other on the banks of the Canal de l’Ourcq, we met. Alex, who is passionate about watchmaking, especially diving watches, discussed the matter at length, and the alchemy of watchmaking worked between the “tocantes toqués”, and the project was born.
