Beneath the ripples, light filters through the blue ocean, illuminating the depths with a quiet glow. Flecks of light emerge and disappear as the sea moves, suspended between brilliance and shadow. We were inspired by this interplay of light and depth, where the ocean catches the brilliance of the sun while holding a world of blue within. Starshine Ocean enamel is layered over handcrafted silver leaf, creating a rich texture surface scattered with luminous reflections. As light shifts across the dial, the reflections come alive, like sunlight dancing above a vast, shadowed sea. The watch captures the ocean’s quiet radiance, where shimmering light meets the mysterious depths of blue. Hand-Formed Silver Leaf Artisans meticulously hand-form silver leaf just four microns thick into undulating organic textures, the signature grain at the core of the Smoked Ocean dial collection. Fully handcrafted, no two silver leaf patterns are identical, making each timepiece one of a kind. Translucent Enamel Successive even coats of translucent enamel are applied across the dial, allowing light to penetrate the enamel to the underlying silver leaf and refract repeatedly between layers for a delicate, nuanced lustre. The built-up enamel lyres impart a soft visual depth and dimensionality, with hands, indices and silver leaf texture resting at distinct depths in complementary layered interplay. Indices Design Crisply hand printed onto the enamel dial, the precisely aligned markers carry a refined architectural sensibility. Roman numerals and the outer circular index ring exude understated elegance, with minute markers seamlessly integrated into the track to distill intricate marker detailing into clean, minimalist order. Pen Hands Inspired by pen nibs, the slender hands carry an elegant, refined character. Heat-blued second hand to a rich, deep, and glossy finish, they reveal subtle, intriguing curves as light catches their surface.
